Correct Ways To Use A Pedestrian Crossing
There are three ways to use a pedestrian crossing. First, when there is a traffic warden one must obey him or her. He or she carries a sign in his or her hand with the word “Stop”. Always remember never, ever walk across the road without his or her assistance.
Secondly, when there is no traffic warden and there are cars passing, you wait until the driver flicks the light or beeps the horn to allow you to cross. Never run across the road when there is an oncoming car.
Thirdly, when there is a control switch by the pedestrian crossing press it and wait until the light starts to flash and then cross the road. You wait because if you do not wait you might get into an accident.
