 ROAD SAFETY

Driving recklessly on the road is a thing bajans like to do,
Sometimes they drive so dangerously
They don’t care about me or you.
They ‘cut’ ‘round the bends with the cell phone on the ear,
sometimes they don’t ever see pedestrians far or near.
I see one texting and not even keeping his eyes on the road,
Another road fatality this country cannot afford.
We implore you to be more cautious when you drive,
in order for we people to stay alive.
Some folks drive with the music extremely loud,
They feel it is a good thing and are very Proud.
These distracted drivers don’t hear a sound on the outside,
One didn’t hear the ambulance’s siren and both of them collide.
Ladies, put on your make up before getting into the car,
Driving and doing this is a dangerous thing, you might not get far.
You can run off the road or crash into a pole or push innocent
person into some hole!
People we beg you to be more cautious on our roads,
We don’t want to end up like dead toads.
People, we ask you, we beg you,
Go safely on the streets
